Companies, including Synthos Green Energy, are part of a team led by GE-Hitachi which has been awarded a £33.6 million UK Future Nuclear Enabling Fund (FNEF) grant to support development of the BWRX-300 technology.
At the the press conference at PKN ORLEN’s headquarters, the first potential sites for the BWRX-300 reactors were presented. These are Ostrołęka, Włocławek, Stawy Monowskie, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Kraków-Nowa Huta, the Tarnobrzeg – Stalowa Wola Special Economic Zone and Warsaw.
Synthos Green Energy has signed an agreement for the design of a BWRX-300 SMR from GE Hitachi. The company, together with its partners from the U.S. and Canada, will invest in the development of the GEH BWRX-300 technology.
